Mr. Mhammed Abbad Andaloussi, a former Moroccan banker, has been working for Wafabank for 34 years and five years as director of Attijariwafa Bank Foundation. Concerned by the development of his country, he works to improve the quality of Morocco’s education system through the mobilization and the involvement of businesses, moving them beyond charity or philanthropy to true engagement.
In 2007, he launched INJAZ Morocco which aims to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit among Moroccan students at middle, high school, and college levels by scaling up the size and scope of Junior Achievement programs launched in 1919 in the United States. Thanks to the support of 90 partners and the involvement of 2,550 Executive Volunteers, INJAZ Morocco managed to train more than 75,000 students since its creation and aims to reach 200,000 by 2020.
Ashoka fellow, Synergos senior follow and Schwab social entrepreneur, Andaloussi won the 2010 Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the MENA region, conferred by the Shwab Foundation and the World Economic Forum. In 2011, he won the Clinton Global Citizen Award.
